Meet Dr Huynh Cong Minh, Chair of Founding Committee and Superintendent of EMASI Schools
Doctor Huỳnh Công Minh, born in 1948, is a committed educator who is dedicated to education reform and eager to bring excellent education to Vietnamese students.
In his 45 years of experience in education, Doctor Huỳnh Công Minh held many important positions and has contributed substantially to education and throughout the country. Started as high school Maths and Physics teacher in Tuy Phong, Binh Thuan before 1975, he then was awarded as an excellent teacher and became Deputy Head of school and later Head of some schools such as Bùi Thị Xuân, Củ Chi, An Lạc in Ho Chi Minh city. He had worked as director of Education Office of District 10 from 1987 to 1995; as Manager of high school division, Deputy Director and then Director of Ho Chi Minh city’s Department of Education & Training from 1995 to 2011; as Deputy President of Vietnam Educational Psychology Association; and has been post-graduate teacher at University of Social Science and Humanity and an advisor on education reform until now.
With academic training and experiencing various different periods, the study of over 15 countries, Doctor Huỳnh Công Minh has achieved great influence and credibility in education field as well as in society. Some of his remarkable achievement are leading position of District 10’s education in the city or Ho Chi Minh city education taking lead in the country for many years; or his new reformed school model to meet reform trend in Ho Chi Minh city which is a good example for other provinces to follow his education model where students not only pass their exams but also become dynamic, creative and confident adult in their life.
